2. Technical Troubleshooting & Device Guidelines
Why is the camera or verification link failing to load?
Follow these technical guidelines to ensure your device captures and transmits your applicant verification data smoothly (Acceptable Use Policy):
- Mobile Device Recommended: Mobile web browsers on smartphones provide the most seamless camera integration for capturing physical documents during the applicant check.
- Browser Permissions: Ensure your mobile device's default browser app (e.g., Safari on iOS, Chrome on Android) has explicit access enabled for camera usage before you begin.
- Copy/Paste Link: If opening the link directly from an email app fails, copy the complete TruCheck™ link directly from your email and paste it into a native browser tab.
- Supported Operating Systems:
- Android: Android 8.0 (Oreo) or higher is required.
- iOS (Apple): iOS 13.0 or higher is required. For iOS devices, if you are not able to take a selfie, disable large text in keypad and retry.
- Camera Hardware & Lighting: Minimum 720p resolution is required in a well-lit area to ensure clear facial matching and document OCR capture.
3. Document & Photo Requirements
What are the presentation and document rules for applicants?
To prevent identity fraud and ensure valid verification, TruCheck™ enforces strict photo and physical document rules (Acceptable Use Policy):
CRITICAL RULE: As an applicant, you must present your physical, original document in hand during the live camera session.
- Professional Attire Notice: Please ensure you are appropriately dressed in professional or business attire. The live "Match Selfie" captured during your applicant screening will be displayed on your official TruCheck™ Digital Card shown to interviewers and hiring managers.
- NO Screen Photos, Scans, or Copies: Photos taken off a computer, laptop, phone, or tablet screen—as well as printed photocopies or digital PDFs—are automatically rejected by our security AI.
- Strict Workflow Alignment: You must upload the exact document type chosen during your initial selection.
- Example: If you selected US Passport Card as your verification path, presenting a US Driver's License or US Passport Book is not permitted.
- Need to change your selection? Do not attempt to force an unselected document type. Reply directly to your original TruCheck™ email invite to request a workflow reset.
- No Voided or Damaged Documents: Documents that are expired, hole-punched, clipped, severely creased, taped, or marked as "VOID" will be automatically rejected.
4. Safety, Privacy, and Data Protection
Is TruCheck™ Safe and Legally Compliant for Applicants?
Yes. TruCheck™ operates as a Consumer Reporting Agency (CRA) screening service in full compliance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) standards, ESIGN Act electronic signature rules, and state biometric privacy statutes (Terms of Use). As an applicant, you are provided full FCRA rights disclosures and explicit consent prompts prior to starting the session.
How is applicant personal and biometric data protected?
Your personal details, live session video, background video motion metrics, and uploaded document images are encrypted end-to-end in transit and at rest (Privacy Policy).
Biometric Data Retention: Biometric identifiers and raw mathematical facial templates are completely purged from active processing systems within 24 hours of collection (or immediately upon session execution/terminal failure). Sensitive full identifiers remain securely encrypted and redacted on display cards.

How will this information be used across the hiring lifecycle?
Authorized enterprise entities and their downstream client partners (including staffing partners, prime contractors, system integrators, and end-clients) use the TruCheck™ Digital Verification Card to validate identity and employment eligibility throughout the candidate’s lifecycle—from interview stage and HR onboarding to active project placement. This ensures that the applicant who completed TruCheck™ is the exact same candidate interviewed, onboarded, and deployed on client projects across all participating tiers of the engagement network (Terms of Use).
